Distrust: The Social Killing Game

What would you do if you and fifteen others were forced into an impossible situation and told that the only way to escape is to murder someone and get away with it? What choices would you make? What bonds would you form in your desperate bid to survive? Who will give in and take a life? Who will resist and defy the terrible person putting them through this inhumane trial? Who will put everything on the line to get out alive… and who will lose everything when they die trying?

Bringing the goal of making it to the end that you often see in Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop roleplaying games with the intensity that comes from Player vs Player interactions, it’s a game that’s unique in how it plays and is fun to see come together.

This game is optimized for play on Discord via text to utilize channels and roles, with dice rolling done by the Avrae bot. It can be played with 8+ players, though 16 players is the sweet spot.

Note: this system is currently still in development, and is undergoing tweaks,  balancing changes, and is being worked on to move away from the Danganronpa universe and be a more accessible system for fans of that franchise and those who know nothing of it alike. I'll update the file here when major changes happen, but if you're looking to run a game and want to get the updates as they happen let me know on Discord and I'll send them your way. And if you do run using the system, I'd love to see how it plays out (if you allow spectators)! All playtest experience helps to improve the system and I'd be happy to include your group in the playtester credits especially if new mechanics and elements are tested in your game!

The system is free, though if anyone is feeling generous enough to update all proceeds will be going toward getting art and graphic design done.
